Progress on the IRD
The Steering group has confirmed the requirements for the IRD and timescales.
A broad cross-section of staff has been identified to ensure that there is a real institution perspective.
All levels of staff will be invited to contribute from the VC, PVC, Deans, Assocaite Deans, Lecturers, and staff from support departments.
Student input will be primarily through the use of the biennial e-learning survey. This is due to be issued this month and will provide a picture of the student view of developments in the last two years.
A recent meeting with the consultant allowed a deadline of early in December to be confirmed for the first draft and the team are optimistic that all data will have been collected and the IRD complete for the January 22nd 2007 deadline.

'Benchmarking methodology – the rationale for our choice?'
We at Wolves have gone for the ACU / OBHE methodology. The decision about which methodology to use was made by our 4 person steering group and was based upon information gained from the initial Town meeting presentations, the Piloters’ reports about their experiences, and the documentation on the HEA website, which seemed to indicate that this would be useful and useable in meeting our benchmarking goals.
